In May 2008, she graduated from Hillsborough Community College in Tampa, Florida with an A.A. in Liberal Arts. She is currently pursuing a Bachelor'sin Business Administration with a concentration in International Business at AIU Online.
Sandra loves to travel to learn about different cultures. She has cultivated a love for foreign languages, which is now almost to the point of addiction. As a result, she fluently speaks English, French, Lingala, and Spanish. She still remembers some German, and some Amharic, and she is currently teaching herself Japanese. She plans on adding Italian, Portuguese and Greek to this already impressive repertoire, for her career as an international interior designer.

Sandra has many hobbies. She loves all forms of art, such as drawing, painting, playing the guitar or piano.

Sandra married Dovelle Sala-Diakanda on July 9, 2011. They currently live in the Boston area and are eager to start a family of their own.

Their friendship has lasted for over two decades, despite being on separate continents, and completely different time zones.
